  Hi, I'm Emma!

For the best part of 2021, when The Crypt Chick became a 'thing', I was completely anonymous. However, I eventually did a 'reveal' on my one-year anniversary back in April 2022. 

The Crypt Chick was born when I was looking for a relative's grave online - that's when I found findagrave.com. Before then, I had no idea that it existed! The more I looked into it the more I realised what a great idea it was. So, I had a look at requests in my area and set to work. 

Whilst photographing, I took a keen interest in the sculptures on the graves and found myself wondering who the people were beneath them. Since then, I have researched hundreds of people, even to the point of visiting their hometowns - in particular, the Australian grave of Robert Tennant Stowe Wolfe.

Likewise, I've also found myself visiting old towns and going out and finding the final resting places of their pioneers.
